Our new Saving Lives campaign, which we’re launching in time for this year’s World AIDS Day, focuses on the importance of HIV testing. We believe testing needs to become routine and common in order to diagnose the undiagnosed – one in three people with HIV don’t know about it – and to catch new infections as quickly as possible. We can only treat HIV, and control its spread, if we test for it correctly, successfully, and regularly. Saving Lives is about promoting this agenda – and encouraging all of us, whether doctor or patient, to recognise the importance of the humble HIV test.
You can read our Saving Lives booklet, which features contact information, suggestsions on when particular clinical disciplines should think about testing, and guidelines for the test itself, by clicking here. Spread the word!
